Week 6 Picks

#1 Florida (4-0) (2-0) at #4 LSU (5-0) (3-0)
Tim Tebow? Does anyone know whether he'll play or not? Can I make two picks here? No. Chavis says he's not worried who plays QB for Florida, that his defense will be prepared. The Tigers defense is not as good or as experienced as Florida's. Everything about their team is better, more experienced, but the Gators are playing at Death Valley at night. Both teams are undefeated. I'm going with the upset! The Gators fall once here, as destined, with a QB playing his first start in Baton Rouge! Go Tigers! 31-30.
Podcast Pat's Pick: UF 31-20

#3 Alabama (5-0) (2-0) at #20 Ole Miss (3-1) (1-1)
Roll Tide. #3 Alabama looks like the real #1. They'll go to Ole Miss and make it look as easy as they did at Kentucky, minus the first quarter. Snead will not have a break out game against this defense. And McElroy will finally get more Heisman hype when he shows up a preseason Heisman favorite. I'm taking the Tide in this one, by two touchdowns. 38-24.
Podcast Pat's Pick: Bama 31-17

#9 Auburn (5-0) (2-0) at Arkansas (2-0) (0-2)
Can this possibly be the biggest test for Auburn so far this season? A bigger and tuffer game than UWV or Tennesse? Yeah I think so. Just ask the Aggies about playing at Arkansas. Ryan Mallet has truly matured into his role as starting QB, and looks to lead this team to a winning record this year. Auburn as we know has been unstoppable on offense. This one looks like shoot-out, and the Tigers are out for revenge from last season's loss. I'll take the Tigers 45-38.
Podcast Pat's Pick: AU 42-38

#25 South Carolina (4-1) (1-1) vs Kentucky (2-2) (0-2)
I think Spurrier's squad will continue to move up the ranks with a home win here against UK. It's hard being Kentucky this year, every conference game is impossible for them to win it seems. The Wildcats have a better shot at the upset in this one than their previous two conf. games, but I just don't see it happening. Garcia will throw the ball 40+ times whatever Spurrier says. Go Gamecocks! 35-24.
Podcast Pat's Pick: USC 28-17

UGA (3-2) (2-1) at Tennessee (2-3) (0-2)
Lane Kiffin. How does 0-3 taste? The Bulldogs want to punish someone after letting LSU escape between the hedges with a victory. Why go with home field advantage in this one? The Vols are not playing any better on offense at home or away. The Bulldogs will eek out enough points to win. Lets watch the celebration, wouldn't want to use that as an excuse again. Dogs 24-13.
Podcast Pat's Pick: Tenn 28-27

Mississippi State (2-3) (1-2) vs Houston (3-1) (0-1)
The Bulldogs turned the ball over enough times last week to lose that game twice. If they can keep control of the ball and play better on defense this one might be a rout. Houston had a hot start beating top ranked Ok State and Texas Tech, only to get blasted in conf. play by UTEP. Miss State's 2-3 isn't as ugly as it appears. They almost, almost upset LSU and played well against G-Tech. The Bulldogs are more physical and at home, so I'm going with them. Bulldogs 28-21.
Podcast Pat's Pick: MSU 41-35

If Tulane can get it done at Army then Vandy kills them. (Podcast Pat agrees that Vanderbilt wins)
