Alabama has finally taken over our No. 1 spot as the best team in the nation through 13 weeks of college football. Slowly but surely they have risen through the Top 11 to become the only BCS team in the country with an unblemished record. Nick Saban's last regular season test is against Alabama's biggest rival, Auburn, who are on the brink of a losing season at 5-6. Saban is 0-1 vs Tubberville as Bama's head coach, but this will be his first game at home against the Tigers and surely he has the better team. The Gators fell into #2 thanks in part to OU for destroying the previous #1 Red Raiders. Many would say the Big 12 South teams lost to much better opponents than Florida, and they all lost on the road... but still the Gators have won 7 in a row, all by 30+ points, and 6 of which were against conference opponents. OU jumps their betters for buttering Tech for lunch, plus it turns out they may have beaten the Big East Champs as well. Sorry Texas fans, you lost too late. Penn jumps back into the Top 5 and clinches a Rose Bowl bid. No. 6 USC got stuck like Texas for being idle. Tech fell to last with one loss at #7 for getting drunk the night before the big game. Numbers 8-10 stay the same as well with all 3 teams having to play really tough season finales. Yeah I know Mizzou lost to Ok St, but Cowboys will jump a few teams if they can beat the Sooners at home on Saturday. Go Zac! Utah still just doesn't impress me more than this top ten, although you see they out-rank a 10-2 Ohio State, undefeated Ball and Boise, and 9-2 Cincy Bearcats.
